P-graph Meeting, Esztergom, Hungary, Sept. 2-3, 2018

General Information

P-graph Meeting will take place at the St Adalbert Conference Center in the historic town Esztergom, Hungary on September 2nd and 3rd, 2018.

The meeting is supported by the Pázmány Péter Catholic University.

The meeting is not public, participation is only by invitation.

Purpose

The purpose of the event is to answer the following questions.

  • How can P-graph framework contribute to the solution of unsolved crucial problems of our time including sustainability?
  • What theoretical problems prevent further important applications?
  • How should the existing P-graph tools and software be improved for more general and wider range of applications?
  • How can the publicity of the framework be improved?
  • How can the necessary financial background be generated?
  • How can we set up a community behind the framework?

Program structure

The meeting is organized in 9 sequential sessions during the two days. The form of each session is round-table discussion that starts with one or more presentations. Each session has a moderator and few panel members. It is supposed that the moderator opens his/her session with a short presentation.

Each participant is invited to give a presentation or presentations. If you plan to give a presentation, please send us the title with a short abstract of at most 50 words by August 20, 2018. Please note, the participants of the meeting are familiar with the theory and applications of P-graph framework, no detailed introduction is needed in the presentations.

VOCAL 2018, Esztergom, Hungary, December 10-12, 2018

8th member of the VOCAL optimization series is announced and its website is available at vocal.p-graph.org.

The 8th VOCAL Optimization Conference: Advanced Algorithms will be held at the St. Adalbert Conference Center in Esztergom, Hungary, December 10-12, 2018.

The VOCAL conference focuses on recent advances on optimization algorithms: continuous and discrete; complexity and convergence properties, high performance optimization software and novel applications are reviewed as well. We aim to bring together researchers from both the theoretical and applied communities in the framework of a medium-scale event.
